The centennial ceremony for the Sardagna cable car
The centennial ceremony for the Sardagna cable car, sponsored by the Municipality of Trento, the Autonomous Province, and Trentino Trasporti, was held today. Two plaques were unveiled at the valley and mountain stations. The president of Trentino Trasporti, Diego Salvatore, emphasized the cable car's resounding success at this time in history: "The cable car has grown significantly, not only among residents, but also as an attraction for tourists who greatly appreciate this type of transportation service. Suffice it to say that in the last 10 years, ridership has doubled, from approximately 100,000 to 200 passengers per year, excluding 2024, when renovations have been carried out that have limited its availability. And this year too, we have seen an increase."

Closing the remarks was Gianluigi Toninandel, president of the Sardagna district, who thanked everyone for the celebrations, an opportunity to showcase the village and its history.
