Trentino trasporti: how and where to buy tickets
Single tickets
If you don't have a season ticket, you can purchase a single ticket in any of the following ways:
- on board by the driver (only paying in cash with small currency bills):
- single ticket (regional bus service): 3 euros;
- single ticket (urban bus service): 2 euros;
- by downloading the OpenMove or DropTicket smartphone app (credit card payment with a 10% discount on the regular fare);
- by means of a "COP - Chip on Paper" (disposable) prepaid chip card (with a credit of 10 euros), which can be bought at any ticket office of Trentino Trasporti and Trenitalia or at partner tobacconists;
- by means of a "conventional" (plastic) prepaid smart card (with a credit of 10 euros), which can be bought at any ticket office of Trentino Trasporti and Trenitalia or at certain partner coops (Famiglie cooperative);
- regular single tickets, which can be bought at any ticket office of Trentino Trasporti and Trenitalia.
Prepaid chip card

The new COP - Chip on Paper card is contactless.
Like our conventional prepaid smart card it is a no-name card and can be used in exactly the same way and at the same cost:
- it can be used by between 2 and 6 passengers (children aged below 6 travel free);
- when boarding, press the button for the right number of passengers on the validating machine before placing the card close to the machine;
- remember to always check out when getting off (except in the case of city buses).
However, there are a few differences:
CONVENTIONAL PREPAID SMART CARD

- Points of sale: Trentino trasporti and Trenitalia ticket offices (the card comes with a standard credit of 10 euros and can be topped up in units of 5 euros); available at certain partner coops (Famiglie Cooperative) with a standard credit of 10 euros.
NEW PAPER CHIP CARD (COP)
- Material: paper
- Cost of card: free
- Point of sale: Trentino trasporti e Trenitalia ticket offices (the card comes with a standard credit of 10 euros and can be topped up in units of 5 euros);available at certain partner tobacconists, with a standard credit of 10 euros.
